Week 3 __________________ Week 3 - Monday
We continued with "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" By the way, I checked out the song. Good music, although old. Anyways, Mr Chua continued with the lesson, Scene 1. He went deeper to the story. He asked questions and I'm one of them... I think. I forgot what he asked but the most difficult question he asked the class was "Why do you think Redhead is called Redhead?" The first thing that came to my mind is she's called Redhead because she's a slut or she just have a red hair. But according to the text, Redhead was caring to Elvis. But what most people think is Elvis name Redhead her name is Elvis doesn't bother knowing more about Redhead. She just call her by a nickname, Elvis thinks Redhead is not important as she's just another girlfriend. And also, people have tricked him because of his wealth, so he doesn't really care about Redhead. That shows Elvis that he's not a caring person.
What I can say to this is caring and bonding is important. In Elvis's situation, he doesn't trust and care for anyone anymore. He doesn't even want to know much about Redhead. Yet, Redhead is his girlfriend. Redhead was just trying to help but Elvis refused her help. If I ever get a girlfriend, I would make sure I know her and she trust me. Because if I don't know her that much, I'm showing her that I don't care. She's just another girl that I can get with. But no, I don't want that. I want her to know that I care, because I'm sure if I do, she will do the same. This is why this topic interests me a lot.
Week 3 - Thursday
We moved on to scene 2 today. Today, I learned that Elvis was in a poor family. I'm surprised, seriously, I am. For a big star like him, I was expecting more. But wow. His neighbourhood doesn't have any Cadillac like he does and he promised his mother to have chandeliers everywhere if they move house or something. They are so poor that when Jesses died, they can only find the cheapest box or something. Which brings me to my next point. He was very devoted to his mother. He loves him mother so much that the very first album/songs are dedicated to his mother. He would do anything for his mother.
Well, me and my mother don't really do much. But we do love each other. We just celebrate stuffs and things but it's very fun. So my mother and I had a good bonding. But my mother is soft of like Elvis. When she remembers my grandpa, she just cries and just turns it into joke. I can feel her pain and she's using joy as an excuse to cover her pain. It really sucks to remember painful memories.
