Week 5
_________

Week 5 - Monday

Mr.Chua started off with checking people's homework if it was done or not. Of course, there will be people. I can't remember if I was part of it or not. Doesn't really matter. If this keep going, we're just wasting time, everyone's time. I don't go school just to be scolded or listen to people get scolded, that's just stupid. Learning is our purpose in a school, we are students. And we don't learn how to scold. We learn priceless knowledge.
Anyway, Mr Chua showed us a video of last's year's Sec 2 performance on Shakespeare drama. I can't really hear them, either their too soft or the camera sucks. Mr Chua said that the expectation from us are very high as we went for the debate program. I don't really know if it makes any difference because when I attended the program, most people were just chatting away. I want to listen but people just can't keep their mouths shut. I know myself I can control my voice volume, not trying to show off but I'm just saying, I can project my voice.
I learned that if people go for something, and they go there to learn... are they willing to learn? If people ask that, I would definitely say yes. I don't about the others but I want it because they are teaching me. That's knowledge, and it's even better if it's free. But some people just don't see it. They think it's just a waste of time... but you know what? Their attitude is the one wasting our time. Attitude must always be better than knowledge. If you're smart but has a bad attitude then you have no use.

Week 5 - Thursday

We studied scene 3. It's getting more interesting and interesting. Redhead came back to Elvis to comfort him and talked about life. Why does Elvis take drugs? To take away the pain. And what pain is that? The pain when his mother passed away and he wasn't there to be with her mother. Unfortunately, his mother died because of illness or something. And he could come because he has a performance for the military. As a performer, a singer and a celebrity, you just can't walk away from your show and go to somewhere else and it is urgent. You must be committed with your career. He had no choice but to stay there and perform. You can't just bail out, even if it's an emergency of any kind. What I'm trying to say is we have to make sacrifices because of our commitments. Sure, Elvis 's mother died but he just can't say to the crowd that he can't perform and he have to go because his mother died. People would be pissed and that will affect his career. But of course, family is more important. It's your choice, career or family. But the pain is still there in his heart, permanent scar on his heart and he won't ever forget. That's why he take drugs. Such a pity.
